turbocharger - the description and precautions

turbocharger increases capacity of the engine, lifting pressure in the inlet pipeline above the atmospheric. Air in cylinders is not soaked up, and blown. Depending on increase in entrance air the fuel pump increases quantity of injected fuel.
turbocharger works on energy of the fulfilled gases. Gas passes through the turbine, untwisting its wheel. The turbine wheel is attached to a shaft on which other end the second wheel is fixed. This wheel rotates in own casing and compresses soaked up air on a way to the inlet pipeline.
Between turbocharger and the inlet pipeline, compressed air passes through интеркулер. Интеркулер it is established on a car left-hand side, behind a forward bumper. The purpose интеркулера - to cool forced air which heats up at compression (cold air more densely нагретого) therefore capacity of the engine increases.
Pressure of pressurisation (pressure in the inlet pipeline) is limited перепускной заслонкой which at certain pressure passes fulfilled gas by a turbine wheel.
The turbine shaft is greased under pressure from the main system of greasing. The shaft "floats" on an oil pillow. Through a returnable tube oil flows down in the pallet.
Bearings турбокомпрессора are cooled by a circulating cooling liquid. After deenergizing of ignition the pump continues to swing cooling liquid within several minutes, preventing an overheat of bearings and prolonging their service life.

turbocharger works at extremely high speeds and temperatures. To avoid premature damage of the turbine, it is necessary to observe some precautions.
Do not disperse the engine to high turns right after start, especially if it is not heated-up.
Always before ignition deenergizing return the engine in an idling mode - do not increase speed before ignition deenergizing, the turbine will quickly rotate without greasing.
Before to suppress the engine after work on the big turns, allow it to work within several minutes idling.
Observe recommended intervals of replacement of oil and the filter, and use oil of the grade specified in Specifications. The neglect these recommendations can cause deposit formation on a turbine shaft that can terminate in malfunction.
