Removal and installation of the petrol engine and manual transmission

MODELS WITH ENGINES OF 1.4 AND 1.6 L

The engine together with a transmission leaves from an impellent compartment upwards, and then they are divided.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect a cable of weight from the battery. If the autoradio tape recorder in your car is coded before to disconnect the battery, be convinced that you know a code. 2. Remove a radiator as it is described in the Head System of cooling, heating. Also disconnect the top hose from a casing of the thermostat and the bottom hose from a pipe of a cooling liquid (address to an accompanying illustration). 3. If it is necessary, merge impellent oil as Maintenance service is described in the Head. 5. Remove a cowl as it is described in the Head the Body. 6. Remove assemblage of the air filter as it is described in the Head of the Power supply system, release. 8. Turn away two fixing bolts, fastening the left brake support to a rotary fist. 11b. Remove the left brake support. 11c. Disconnect electroconducting from the deterioration gauge Pads. Tie up a support to a suspension bracket spring (address to illustrations). 12. Turn on and remove a coupling bolt, крепящий шаровый the hinge of the left bottom lever to a rotary fist (address to an accompanying illustration). 13a. Turn away a nut (pay attention that nuts are on a back part of a casing). 13b. Turn on and remove both bolts, fastening the left rack of a suspension bracket to a rotary fist (address to illustrations). 14. Lower the bottom lever of a suspension bracket downwards, then separate a power shaft from drive wheels of differential and remove it together with a rotary fist (address to an accompanying illustration). 15a. A pin, крепящий the right power shaft to a shaft drive differential wheels. 15b. Working under the car, beat out a pin (address to illustrations). 16. Turn away a nut from the right tip of cross-section steering draught and disconnect it from the lever of a rotary fist. 17. Turn on and remove the top bolt, крепящий the right rack of a suspension bracket to a rotary fist (pay attention that the nut is on a back part). Then ослабьте (but do not remove) the bottom bolt. 18. Pull a power shaft on itself and disconnect its internal end from grooves on a shaft drive differential wheels. Tie up a power shaft to the steering mechanism. 19. Remove a reception pipe and каталитический the converter as it is described in the Head of the Power supply system and release. 20a. Turn away screws and remove a plastic cover from the transmission basis. 20b. Then note position of a rod of a choice of transfers on a plug in transmission. 20с. On models with air conditioner, remove a pulley of the pump of a steering with the amplifier and displace the pump and the compressor of a central air of air aside, leave hoses attached. 26. Disconnect a rope of a pedal of gas from the throttle case (address to the Head of the Power supply system and release). 27. Disconnect a rope of coupling from transmission as Coupling is described in the Head. 28. Disconnect the remained hoses from a casing of the thermostat and-or a pipe of a cooling liquid (where is available) on an engine left-hand side (a hose of a broad tank and heater hoses) (address to an accompanying illustration). 29. Turn away a broad tank and tie up it to a left-hand side of an impellent compartment. 30a. Remove the top and lateral covers from the relay block on a left-hand side of an impellent compartment. 30b. Then release a payment of the relay and a coupler of conducting and place electroconducting on the engine (address to illustrations). 31. Disconnect conducting from the radiator and thermoswitch fan. 32. Disconnect a hose of the gauge of pressure in the pipeline from the inlet pipeline. 33. Disconnect a hose of the gauge of pressure in the pipeline from the inlet pipeline and disconnect gauge conducting. 34. Turn away fixing nuts and remove the block of a control system of the engine on the right side of an impellent compartment. Tie up the block to the top part of the engine to prevent its damage. 35. Loosen the скобы also disconnect submitting and returnable fuel hoses from the case of a throttle or a fuel highway. 36. Turn away a cable of weight from a partition. 37. Disconnect a hose of a coal adsorber from the electromagnetic valve on the inlet pipeline. 38. Disconnect conducting from the block of the amplifier of ignition on a partition or from the ignition coil on a head of the block of cylinders. 39. Disconnect a power cable of a food of a starter from the accumulator. For this purpose remove the accumulator (the Head an engine Electric equipment) and disconnect conducting in the block of sockets, then release a cable from a cover / a sealing ring in the panel of a partition of an impellent compartment. Also disconnect feeding wire of system of injection of fuel. On models Scenic, turn away the additional block of safety locks in an impellent compartment and displace it aside. 40. Turn away a nut of the bottom forward fastening of the engine/transmission and clean a connecting plate from the right support. 41. Attach лебедку to assembly eyes of the engine and slightly raise the engine. 42. Turn away bolts of an arm and a coupling bolt from a back support of the engine/transmission. Slightly lift assemblage and remove an arm of a back support. 43. By means of the assistant slowly lift assemblage of the engine/transmission from an impellent compartment, watching to damaging surrounding components. When the block will be lifted highly enough, deduce it forward and lower on a floor. 44a. Disconnect conducting from a starter. 44b. Disconnect a cable of weight from the block of cylinders. 44с. Disconnect the holder of a cable from transmission. 44d. Turn away a forward bottom nut. 44e. Turn away the top bolt of fastening of transmission to the engine. Note position of the holder of cables. 44f. Substitute support and turn away the top bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine. 44g. Turn away a nut of fastening of transmission to the engine.

MODELS WITH ENGINES OF 2.0 L

The engine together with a transmission falls downwards from an impellent compartment, and then they are divided.

REMOVAL

1. Execute the preliminary actions described in paragraphs 1-23 above. Remove loose leaves of the left and right arch of forward wheels. 2. On models with air conditioner, disconnect conducting from the gauge of pressure and from the compressor. 3. Where it is applied, disconnect the gauge of pressure of a steering with the amplifier. 4. Disconnect a rope of a pedal of gas from the throttle case (address to the Head of the Power supply system and release). 5. Disconnect a rope of coupling from transmission as Coupling is described in the Head. 6. Disconnect hoses of a heater from branch pipes of the heat exchanger of a heater on a partition. 7. Disconnect the remained hoses of system of cooling from a thermostat casing. 8. Disconnect hoses of system of cooling and turn away a broad tank, then tie up it to a left-hand side of an impellent compartment. 9. Remove the top and lateral covers from the relay block on a left-hand side of an impellent compartment, then release a payment of the relay and a coupler of conducting and place electroconducting on the engine. 10. Disconnect conducting from the radiator and thermoswitch fan. 11. Disconnect a hose of the block of the vacuum amplifier of a brake from the inlet pipeline. 12. Disconnect a hose of the gauge of pressure in the pipeline from the inlet pipeline and disconnect gauge conducting. 13. Turn away fixing nuts and remove the block of engine management on the right side of an impellent compartment. Tie up the management block to the top part of the engine. 14. Loosen the скобы also disconnect submitting and returnable fuel hoses from a fuel highway. On engines F7R, release tubes from скоб on the central external cover of a gear belt. 15. Turn away a cable of weight from a partition. 16. Disconnect a hose of a coal adsorber from the electromagnetic valve on the inlet pipeline. 17. Disconnect conducting from ignition coils on a head of the block of cylinders. 18. Disconnect a power cable of a food of a starter from the accumulator. For this purpose remove the accumulator (the Head an engine Electric equipment) and disconnect conducting in the block of sockets, then release a rope from a cover / a sealing ring in the panel of a partition of an impellent compartment. Also disconnect feeding wire of system of injection of fuel. On models Scenic, turn away the block of additional safety locks in an impellent compartment and displace it aside. 19. Remove an auxiliary belt. 20. Remove a pulley from the pump of a steering with the amplifier as it is described in the Head the Suspension bracket and a steering. 21. Turn away three fixing bolts of the pump of a steering with the amplifier where it is applied, four fixing bolts of the compressor of the conditioner of air, move aside the pump and the compressor, without disconnecting a tube. 22. Release a tube of low pressure of a central air of air from the bottom fastening of the engine/transmission. 23. Loosen the a nut of the right and left forward support of the engine/transmission. 24. Attach лебедку to assembly eyes of the engine and slightly raise the engine. 25. Turn on (but do not remove) a nut from a back bolt of back communication of a support of the engine/transmission, then turn on and remove a forward bolt of communication. Also turn away an arm of a back support from transmission. 26. Establish the steering mechanism in position "directly", then turn on and remove эксцентриковый a bolt, крепящий the basis of a steering column to the steering mechanism and separate a steering column from the steering mechanism. On models with a pillow of safety of the driver, it is important not to damage the circular switch of the pneumonice fellow below a steering wheel. Before removal of a steering column the steering wheel is necessary for blocking by means of the special tool. 27. Turn away four bolts of fastening of a stretcher to the bottom in stretcher corners so that the stretcher has fallen on 10 mm from the bottom. 28. Loosen the bolts, fastening two strengthening arms to the bottom. 29. Turn on as far as possible fixing bolts of the steering mechanism. Two strengthening arms are necessary for leaving in working position. 30. Turn on holders, fastening a tube of hydrosystem of the steering mechanism to a stretcher. 31. Remove fixing bolts and довяжите the steering mechanism as it is possible above from a stretcher. 32. Turn away bolts and remove теплоизоляционные boards from below the gear change lever, then unhook a returnable spring from a gear change rod. 33. Turn a rod back and fix it in this position. 34. Turn away bolts of fastening of a stretcher to the bottom, noticing a site распорных linings and washers. Do not forget to remove bolts of fastening of a tube of the steering mechanism with the amplifier to a stretcher. 38. Lift a car body, then release a manual brake and move the car back. Then lower the car on the earth and cock a manual brake. 39. Be once again convinced that all components which can interfere with removal of assemblage of the engine/transmission, have been removed or separated. Remove assemblage from a stretcher.

INSTALLATION

1. Make installation in return sequence, clamp all nuts and bolts the effort resulted in Specifications. On models with the engine of 2.0 l, at stretcher fastening to the bottom screw in nuts cores in length of 100 mm to adjust position of apertures under bolts. Having levelled a forward part of a stretcher, insert back bolts, then turn out cores and insert forward bolts. At connection of a steering column with the steering mechanism be guided by the Head the Suspension bracket and a steering. Finish to norm liquid level in hydrosystem of the amplifier of a steering. Fill the engine with oil and cooling system - a cooling liquid as it is described in the Head Transmission. Before to execute a trial trip, some times press a brake pedal, that brake Pads steels in normal position.
