Removal and installation of an intermediate shaft

The following procedure is applicable only to petrol engines F3R 750, F3R 751, F3R 710 and to diesel engines F8Q 620, F8Q 784 F9Q 730.

At installation the belt, an epiploon of an intermediate shaft, a casing lining (or suitable hermetic) and a sealing ring of a protective cover of a leading gear wheel of the oil pump is required new gear приводной.

Components of an intermediate shaft

REMOVAL

1. Having removed the engine from the car, operate as follows. 2. Remove gear приводной a belt. 3. Remove a gear pulley of an intermediate shaft. 4. Turn on and remove the bottom internal cover of a gear belt. 5a. Turn away four bolts and remove a casing of an intermediate shaft (address to illustrations), then remove a lining (if is available). Pay attention that the casing settles down on two pins. 6a. Turn away two bolts and get a protective cover of a leading gear wheel of the oil pump, marking a site of a sealing ring. 6b. Take a leading gear wheel. Use a screw-driver or a suitable hook to take a leading gear wheel (address to illustrations). 7a. Turn away two bolts and washers and lift a basic plate 7b. Turn away an intermediate shaft (address to illustrations).

SURVEY

1. Examine an intermediate shaft and a power shaft of the oil pump on presence of corrosion, scratches or deterioration crests on necks of the bearing and a gear wheel teeth. Replace components as required. Check up bearings of an intermediate shaft in the block of cylinders on presence of deterioration and if they are worn out, address on HUNDRED Renault for replacement. 2. Temporarily establish a basic plate on an intermediate shaft and probeом check up that the axial backlash corresponded to the data resulted in Specifications (address to an accompanying illustration). If it it is more maximum a maximum deviation, it is necessary to establish a new basic plate, but at first check up a surface of axial pressure on a shaft.

INSTALLATION

1. Clear a casing of an intermediate shaft and a screw-driver take an epiploon. 2. Establish a new epiploon to the place of open by the party to the engine that it stood level with an external surface of a casing (address to illustrations). 3. Plentifully grease an intermediate shaft and insert it into place. 4. Place a basic plate the bent edge from коленвала and establish two bolts of fastening. 5. Place a new lining on pins in the block of cylinders (address to an accompanying illustration). If the lining was not used yet, put on a combined surface of a casing hermetic CAF 4/6Q THIXO. 6. Wrap up the end of an intermediate shaft a sticky tape to prevent epiploon damage. Plentifully grease sealing edges of an epiploon, then establish a casing into place, putting on it pins (address to an accompanying illustration). Establish and tighten fastening bolts. Remove a tape from the shaft end. 7. Grease a leading gear wheel of the oil pump and insert it into place. Check up, that grooves on conducting gear wheels of the oil pump and replace it if it is necessary. Establish a cover into place and fix its two bolts. 8. Establish the bottom internal cover of a gear belt. 9. Establish a gear pulley of an intermediate shaft. 10. Establish new gear приводной a belt.
