Removal, survey and cam-shaft installation

REMOVAL

1. Remove a head of the block of cylinders as Removal, survey and installation of a head of the block of cylinders is described in Section, and place it on a workbench. 2a. Gradually turn away bolts of fastening of an axis коромысел and a fixing plate to a head of the block of cylinders. 2b. Get a shaft (address to illustrations). 3. Keeping a cam-shaft a wrench established on special проточки on a cam-shaft, or the suitable tool inserted through apertures of a cogwheel, turn away a bolt and get a pulley. 4. On engine E7J, using a face figured key, turn away two bolts and remove the distributor. To mark an arrangement of the distributor there is no necessity as to adjust its position it is impossible. 5a. On engine K7M, turn away bolts. 5b. Uncover and remove a lining the left end of a head of the block of cylinders (address to illustrations). 6. By means of a micrometer measure an axial backlash of a cam-shaft, and compare it with presented in Specifications. Thus it is possible to define deterioration of a basic plate. 7a. Turn away two bolts. 7b. Take a basic plate from a groove in a cam-shaft (address to illustrations). 8. Get a cam-shaft from a head of the block of cylinders from outside a pulley, watching to damaging working surfaces (address to an accompanying illustration).

SURVEY

1. Examine working surfaces of bearings of a cam-shaft and working surfaces of cams on presence of the developed places and scratches. Also examine an axis коромысел on presence of signs of deterioration. If it is necessary, the axis can be dismantled for survey (address to an accompanying illustration). Replace the worn out components as required. 2. Check up a condition of working surfaces on a cam-shaft and in a head of the block of cylinders. If working surfaces in a head are worn excessively out, the new head is required.

INSTALLATION

1. Grease surfaces of bearings in a head of the block of cylinders and cam-shaft cams, then insert a cam-shaft into a head. 2. Establish a basic plate, then insert and tighten bolts. 3. Measure an axial backlash as it is described in paragraph 6 and be convinced that it is not beyond the limiting values resulted in Specifications. The excessive axial backlash can be only because of deterioration of a basic plate or a cam-shaft. 4. On engine E7J, establish the distributor and tighten two bolts, using a face figured key. 5. On engine K7M, establish a face cover with a new lining and tighten bolts. 6. Replace an epiploon (Section Replacement of an epiploon of a cam-shaft), then establish a cam-shaft cogwheel, having convinced that шпонка has entered into a cut on the cam-shaft end. Block a cam-shaft, then insert and tighten a bolt the effort resulted in Specifications. 7. Establish an axis коромысел and a fixing plate, then insert bolts on former places and tighten their effort resulted in Specifications (address to an accompanying illustration). Pay attention that the carving of bolts and contract surfaces of a head should be oiled. On each end and in the middle hollow bolts are established. 9. Establish a head of the block of cylinders (address to Section Removal, survey and installation of a head of the block of cylinders).
