Removal and installation of final system

On new cars the exhaust system consists only of two parts; a reception pipe (and каталитический the converter where it is applied) and the rest of system consisting of the central muffler, a back pipe and the muffler. The reception exhaust pipe in a back part has фланцевое connection with a lining or конусное connection.

The back part of final system settles down above a back suspension bracket, however with the muffler it is possible to replace an intermediate part and a back pipe separately, having sawn off them ножовкой. To remove a system part, at first поддомкратьте a forward or back part of the car and establish it on axial props. Alternatively, place the car on a viewing hole. Where is available, remove the bottom guard of the engine.



1. Track conducting from the Ljambda-gauge and disconnect it. Release electroconducting from fixing скоб that the gauge could be removed together with a reception pipe.
2. Where it is applied, turn away a reception pipe from an arm on transmission.
3. Turn on and remove nuts/bolts, fastening фланцевое connection of a reception pipe to a collector, and remove a lining. On models with engine F7R, factory bolts should be replaced by hairpins and special nuts.
4. Turn on and remove clip or flange bolts and disconnect a reception pipe and каталитический the converter from a back part. Get a pipe from under the car.



1. Open and remove clip or flange bolts, fastening a reception pipe and каталитический the converter to a back part. Remove a lining where it is applied.
2. If the factory back part is established, it is necessary for sawing off. The cut place should be approximately in the middle between the central and back muffler.
3. Having cut off a pipe, get an intermediate part of final system from under the car.



1. If the factory back part is established, follow the instructions presented above.
2. If the back part consists of two half, turn away a bolt and pull together the tightening plug forward on an intermediate part, then unhook rubber подвесы and get a back pipe and the muffler from under the car.



1. Teploizoljatsionnye boards are attached to the bottom by various nuts and bolts. Each board can be removed only after removal of a corresponding part of final system. If the board acts in film to get access to a component located behind it, in certain cases enough to turn away fixing nuts and-or bolts, and simply to lower a board, without disturbing an exhaust system. Otherwise remove a part of final system as it has been described earlier.


1. Each part is established in sequence, return to removal, paying attention to the following:
a) Be convinced that from flanges all traces of corrosion have been removed, replace all necessary linings.

At connection of intermediate and back parts, put a small amount герметизирующей pastes for final system (Renault recommends Sodicam) on an internal surface of the plug to provide tight consolidation. Place tightening a plug bolt vertically on a pipe left-hand side, and reliably tighten a nut, yet will not hear click; tightening the bolt has a flute for maintenance of a correct inhaling of a nut (the inhaling moment approximately 25 Nanometers)
d) To a tightening of connections of final system be convinced that all rubber подвесы are correctly located and there is an admissible backlash between the bottom of the car and final system.
