Charge and start systems

The system of an electric equipment of the engine consists mainly of start and discharge systems. As functions of these systems are connected with engine work, their components are considered separately from electric devices of a body, such as external illumination, devices etc. the Last are considered in the Head the Onboard electric equipment.

The accumulator is charged by the generator which is resulted by a belt from a pulley коленвала.
The starter has муфту a free wheeling with preliminary gearing with the traction relay. At engine start, the traction relay moves a leading gear wheel, resulting it in gearing with a gear wreath of a flywheel before works a starter. After engine start муфта a free wheeling prevents transfer of rotation of the engine to a starter.

Accumulator separation - models Scenic

On models Scenic, the accumulator is in special branch, under the right forward seat. For accumulator separation, it is necessary to disconnect a positive wire of the accumulator in the additional block of plugs. Access to the plug will be received after cover removal (address to an accompanying illustration).

If the engine is started by means of wires of the big section and the additional accumulator, use the secondary plug of positive connection of red colour, instead of the accumulator plug directly. It also concerns at connection зарядного devices.

At work with electric equipment system it is necessary to observe extra caution not to damage semi-conductor devices (diodes and transistors) and to avoid defeat by an electric current.
Before work with electric equipment system always remove rings, hours etc. Even at the disconnected accumulator there can be a capacitor discharge if the clip of a food of a component is casually short-circuited by a metal subject. It can cause a shock or a strong burn.
Do not confuse accumulator clips. Components of type of the generator, electronic control means or any others, having the semi-conductor scheme, can be hopelessly damaged.
At start of the engine by means of wires of the big section and the starting arrangement or the separate accumulator, it is necessary to connect plus to plus and a minus to a minus. It also concerns and at accumulator connection to зарядному to the device.
Never disconnect poles of the battery, the generator, any electric electroconducting or instrumentations on the working engine.
Do not suppose, that the engine rotated disconnected from system of an electric equipment the generator.
Never check working capacity of the generator, short-circuiting its target contacts to the earth.
At work with electric equipment system watch, that the negative wire of the accumulator has been disconnected.
Before use of arc welding on the car, disconnect the accumulator, the generator and components of type of an electronic control mean ignition and systems of injection of fuel to protect them from damage.
