The general description of fuses and the relay

Fuses

The majority of fuses is established in the block of safety locks located in salon of the car from outside of the driver. Additional fuses and some relays are established in the block of safety locks/relays on the left side of an impellent compartment.

On all models except Scenic, safety locks of a high current are in the block of safety locks of the food established in the right part of an impellent compartment, near to the accumulator, on models Scenic the main safety lock on 60А is established under a passenger seat, near to the accumulator (address to illustrations).

To get access to the main block of safety locks, open a cover. For access to the fuses established in an impellent compartment simply disconnect a cover. For access to safety locks of a high current uncover the accumulator or remove the panel of a windscreen and screen wiper levers.

The list of chains which protect the fuse, is on a cover of the block of safety locks.
Before fuse removal, at first switch off a corresponding chain (or ignition), then extend the fuse from clips. The tool for safety lock removal is attached to a back part of a cover. In a safety lock should be we see a wire; if the fuse has burnt down, the wire will be broken or melted off.
At replacement use a safety lock with the identical characteristic. Never replace the fuse more than once without revealing and elimination of a cause of defect. The characteristic of fuses is printed on back parts and in addition they are coded by colour.
Where the fuse protects more than one chain, check up each chain. Always have on the car spare fuses of each characteristic.

The relay

The majority of the relay is established in the block of safety locks located in salon of the car from outside of the driver. Additional relays are established in the block of safety locks/relays on the left side of an impellent compartment.

To get access to the relay block, remove the switch panel from outside the driver as Removal and installation of switches is described in Section.

Turn away the fastening screw, then disconnect a plastic protective plate from the basis on the block of safety locks.

Let out fixing скобы and disconnect four sockets of electroconducting from the basis of the block of safety locks. Release the block of safety locks from lateral fixing скоб, then accurately lower assemblage downwards.

Let out fixing скобы and uncover to get access to various relays (address to illustrations).

Make installation upside-down.
If the chain operated the relay or system does not work, and malfunction of the relay is supposed, include system. If the relay functions, at its inclusion click should be audible. In this case components or system electroconducting are faulty. If it is not audible that the relay joins, to the relay feeding pressure does not arrive, pressure of switching or the relay is faulty. Relay check is reduced to replacement on obviously serviceable, but be cautious — some relays can be similar outwardly and functionally, and others look equally, but execute various functions.
Before relay replacement switch off ignition. Then the relay simply extend from clips and insert the new.
