Removal and installation of a drive of a speedometer

The speedometer drive is located in the right part of transmission, hardly above a power shaft. On some late models where the rope fastens to transmission by a plastic clamp instead of traditional скобы to remove a drive it is impossible.

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the left power shaft from transmission (address to the Head Power shafts). Notice that there is no necessity to separate a power shaft from a nave, it is possible to remove the internal end of a shaft from grooves of a gear wheel of differential, deducing nave/shaft assemblage outside.

Do not allow a shaft to hang under a body weight, it can lead to damage of SHRUS / of THEIR covers.

2. Remove a lock ring and a persistent washer, then take the left lateral gear wheel from differential.

3. Turn differential so that the axis of satellites has risen vertically (address to an accompanying illustration).

4. Take скобу and separate the gauge of speed of the car from a transmission wall (address to an accompanying illustration).

5. Using the extended flat-nose pliers, take a shaft of a drive of a speedometer.
6. By means of the same flat-nose pliers take from differential a conducted gear wheel of a drive, trying not to drop it.
7. Examine a gear wheel on presence of damages and deterioration signs. Replace it if it is necessary. If the conducted gear wheel is worn out or damaged, examine also a leading gear wheel in differential. For replacement of a leading gear wheel it is necessary to disassemble transmission. This work should be charged HUNDRED Renault.

INSTALLATION

1. Using the extended flat-nose pliers, place a conducted gear wheel into position.

2. Establish a drive shaft, correctly having focused it concerning dredging on a gear wheel (address to an accompanying illustration).

3. Establish the gauge of speed of the car and attach it скобой.
4. Insert a lateral gear wheel of differential, then establish a persistent washer and a lock ring.
5. Insert into transmission the left power shaft (address to the Head Power shafts).
