Replacement of a protective cover of an internal SHRUS of the left power shaft (model with Manual transmission)

REPLACEMENT

1. Remove a power shaft (address to Section Removal and power shaft installation).
2. By means of special flat-nose pliers take a lock ring, крепящее трипод to a power shaft. Pay attention that on some models the SHRUS can be fixed blocking ободком; in this case, disconnect the hinge, using a file. Note position триподной SHRUS parts on приводном to a shaft.
3. Remove трипод. If to make it it is not possible, use a stripper. Be convinced that stripper support are established behind трипода and do not concern its rollers. Alternatively it is possible to use a hydropress.
4. Assemblage of a protective cover/bearing acts in film in the same way. Remove a fixing plate, having remembered its correct arrangement.
5. Get the protective cover supplied with the bearing.
6. As the bearing герметизирован a sealing edge, for installation of assemblage of a cover/bearing on a power shaft it is necessary to use a press. The usual way (a hammer and tubular выколотка) will inevitably lead to consolidation damage.
7. Establish on a power shaft a fixing plate, correctly having focused it.

8a. Tighten a power shaft and by means of a press establish on it bearing/cover assemblage, using hollow выколотку which should rest only against an internal ring of the bearing.

8b. Place the bearing so that the distance from its internal surface till the end of a power shaft made 148.5 mm (address to illustrations).

9. Combine the labels made during removal, and establish трипод the SHRUS on power shaft grooves. Use a hammer and выколотку, executed of soft metal, or a press.
10. Fix трипод a lock ring (it should get to a shaft flute). Where the lock ring is not used, fix the end of a power shaft by means of a hammer and a punch, пристукнув on its edge in three равноудаленных points.
