The lever of the selector of ranges

The selector of automatic transmission can be in one of seven positions:
“Р” - Parking;
“R” - A backing;
“N” - A neutral;
“D” - Movement in an automatic mode of a gear change (are automatically switched 1, 2, 3 and 4th transfers);
“3” - a mode of automatic switching 1, 2, 3rd transfers (4th transfer does not join);
“2” - a mode of automatic switching of 1 and 2nd transfers (3rd and 4th transfers do not join);
On some models this mode joins by button pressing In in position D of the selector. Thus on the panel of control lamps загоряется indicator D3.
“1” - movement on the first transfer.
From safety reasons the selector lever can be included in some positions only by pressing the button And, located on the handle.
Translate the selector lever in position “D” (movement) or “R” (backing) only after a full stop of the car, having released a pedal of an accelerator and keeping a brake pedal in the pressed condition.

The switch From control modes by automatic transmission

In a control system of automatic transmission two modes of a gear change are provided: "comfortable" and "sports". The switch With allows to choose desirable control mode depending on your style of driving of the car. The mode choice is carried out by pressing the button of the switch With.
In "a comfortable" mode the higher transfers join at rather low speed of rotation of a cranked shaft of the engine. (At inclusion of this mode control lamp D does not burn).
In "a sports" mode of a gear change occur at rather higher turns of a cranked shaft of the engine in comparison with "a comfortable" mode. (At inclusion of a "sports" mode of a gear change the control lamp) lights up.


At engine start move the selector lever to position “Р” or “N”. Otherwise the starter will not join (blocking of start of the engine for safety reasons).

Трогание the car from a place

Pressing a foot a brake pedal, translate the lever of the selector from position “Р” or “N” in position “D”. Move a foot from a brake pedal on an accelerator pedal. As a rule, in most cases under usual conditions of traffic any more it is not required any manipulations with the selector lever: gear changes will occur automatically in the fullness of time and at optimum turns of a shaft of the engine. At a gear change the automatic system considers car loading, a profile of road and the management style chosen by you ("comfortable" or "sports").

Special conditions of driving

In hilly or a hilly terrain if the longitudinal profile of road and its tortuosity do not allow to move long time for 4th transfer, we advise to translate the selector lever in position “3” or even “2”. Thus gear changes will not occur too often, and inclusions of 4th (position of the selector “3”) and 3rd (position of the selector “2”) transfers will be blocked. Use of positions of the selector “3” and “2” in these traffic conditions allows to lower deterioration of frictional elements of management of a transmission. In especially difficult traffic conditions it is necessary to include the selector lever in position “1”. Thus switchings on 2, 3 and 4 transfers will be blocked. On 1st transfer high efficiency of braking is provided with the engine.

At movement on long descents it is recommended to include the selector lever in position “3”, “2” (or even “1”) for more effective braking of the car by the engine and reduction of heating and deterioration of working brake mechanisms.

Intensive dispersal

For intensive dispersal of the car from a place or in the course of movement with the established speed in addition press an accelerator pedal against the stop. The mode "kik-daun" thus will join. The Transmission will automatically pass to the lowest transfer which will provide the best dynamics of dispersal of the car in the given conditions.

Economic driving

At movement on the way to usual conditions the selector lever should be constantly in position “D”. Press an accelerator pedal slightly and smoothly for a gear change at rather low turns of a cranked shaft of the engine.

In usual traffic conditions do not use positions “1”, “2” and “3” levers of the selector of automatic transmission.

 In cold weather after engine start before to translate the lever of the selector from position “Р” or “N” in position “D” or “R”, allow to work to the engine some time idling. Otherwise the engine can decay. At air temperature-20S it is necessary to wait about two minutes, at 0С - about 30 seconds.
If the given control lamp has joined in movement time, it specifies in malfunction presence.

Car stop

After a full stop of the car, keeping a foot on a brake pedal, translate the selector lever in position Р (parking). Thus in a transmission the neutral will be included, and driving wheels will be blocked.
For большей safety at parking on abrupt biases, especially if the car is completely loaded, include in addition lay brake.
